GENERAL PLUMBING

SNAKING DRAINS

When there is a clog that cannot be removed with regular kitchen products or the tools you've bought at the hardware store, that's when you need to call us. We will snake out the clog using a drain snake. Also called a plumbing snake or drain auger, drain snakes are long, flexible metal cables used to unclog drains. It is rotated into the drain in a downward spiral motion until it reaches a clog. Once at the obstruction, the tip of the drain snake removes the obstruction.

Since this process can get dirty, we arrive completely to protect your home from the mess.

 

CAMERA INSPECTION

When there is leak with an unknown source or water pressure isn't quite what it should be, it could be the result of a broken pipe. In order to find these breaks and cracks without tearing apart the walls and floors, we use a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera. Similar to the drain snake, it is a long, flexible metal cable - only this one has a camera on the end. When we slip this into your pipes, we can find the source of the problem and tell you how deep it goes. Based on the video, we can provide an accurate estimate of what any repairs may cost.

Camera Inspection is also useful in identifying issues in a drainage system before they become more serious or inspecting the pipes in a home you may want to purchase.

 

POWER FLUSHING DRAINS

Another way to clear out clogged pipes in by power flushing your drains. High pressure water is pushed through the drains, flushing all of the grease out of your pipes. All household drains can be power flushed - kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and any main drains.

The secret to problem and clog free drains is regular snaking and flushing - this keeps the pipes clear and prevents blockage.

 

BASEMENT FLOOD PREVENTION

Even with regular maintenance of your plumbing system, there could be issues with water in your basement. This is caused by neighbouring drains backing up and flowing into your home. We can install Back Flow Preventers, which pump water from outside, back outside - water can only leave the building. DRAIN LOCATION

When our clients are new home owners with a wish to expand, they usually have little or no knowledge of the drain layout lying beneath the surface. Our drain location service tracks the pipes from above ground using a CAT scanner and a visual tool. The Visual is introduced into the system via an entry point (probably a drain in your home) and then tracked with the CAT scanner. The data is sourced and compiled into a basic or full map of your drainage system (depending on how much information is requested).

 

FOUNDATION WATERPROOFING

Ontario's weather conditions put a lot of stress and pressure on a building's foundation. The wet, damp earth can seep into the cement and cause cracks. Waterproofing the foundation prevents rain and water from invading your foundation, and helps maintain its solid structure.
